| NOTES | Max loading 30 kg/shelf (uniform layout) |
A heated upper shelf keeps plates, plated dishes or pre-portioned food warm without reheating. The shelf surface is warmed by an internal element, spreading gentle heat evenly across its width. This method prevents hot spots that can overcook or dry food, while holding it at serving temperature until the kitchen is ready to send it out. Because the heat is radiant rather than forced air, there is no fan noise or air movement to disturb the plating area below.
The operator places the shelf above an existing worktop or counter. Once connected to the power supply, the temperature is set to the desired level within the +60 °C range. Plates or dishes are loaded directly onto the shelf surface, ensuring an even spread to stay within the 30 kg maximum load. The shelf remains on while in use, maintaining the set temperature continuously.
Construction is a single aluminium shelf panel with an integrated heating element beneath. The shelf measures 1100 mm in length, 300 mm in depth and 400 mm in height, fitting standard 1100 mm worktop widths. A uniform load of up to 30 kg is supported across the full shelf area.
Controls consist of a simple temperature dial that adjusts the heat output between ambient and +60 °C. The 0.6 kW power rating indicates the electrical load the shelf adds to the circuit, requiring a dedicated spur or a socket on a ring main rated for the combined load of the shelf and any other equipment sharing the circuit.
The 1100 mm length matches common prep and pass stations, allowing the shelf to span the full width of the work surface. The 300 mm depth provides enough space for standard gastronorm trays or stacked plates without overhang. The 400 mm height clears most plated dishes while keeping the shelf within easy reach for loading and unloading.
Cleaning involves wiping the aluminium surface with a damp cloth and mild detergent after each service. The heating element is sealed, so no internal cleaning is required. Regular checks ensure the shelf remains level and the load is evenly distributed to prevent warping.
This shelf is designed specifically for the Table 1100 configuration and is catalogued under heated worktop accessories.
