Heat Recovery System for Dishwashers

The Heat Recovery system is an optional feature for professional KASTEL dishwashers, designed to improve equipment energy efficiency and reduce heat loss during operation.

During the dishwashing process, hot air and water vapor are generated inside the machine, containing a significant amount of thermal energy. Instead of allowing this heat to escape, the heat recovery system uses it to preheat the cold water entering the dishwasher.

By preheating the water, the amount of energy required to reach the operating temperature is reduced. This helps lower electricity costs, especially during intensive daily use in restaurants, cafés, canteens, and other catering establishments.

An additional advantage is the reduction in the amount of hot steam released when the machine is opened. This helps reduce humidity and heat load in the working area, creating more comfortable working conditions for staff.

The Heat Recovery system is particularly useful in professional kitchens with high dishwasher workloads, where productivity, cost efficiency, and operating comfort are equally important.

The heat recovery system can preheat water to approximately 45 °C and provide energy savings of up to 50% specifically during the heating of rinsing water, rather than in the machine's total energy consumption.
