A heat exchanger keeps the refrigerant in a backbar cooler at the right temperature by transferring excess warmth to the surrounding air. Inside the unit, refrigerant flows through a network of metal tubes or fins. A fan draws air across these surfaces, pulling heat away from the refrigerant and expelling it from the cabinet. This process prevents the compressor from overworking, maintaining a steady temperature for stored bottles and mixers while extending the life of the cooling system.
To replace the exchanger, the existing unit is unclamped and the refrigerant lines disconnected. The electrical plug is removed, and the new exchanger is positioned in the same location. The refrigerant lines are reconnected, the clamp refastened, and the system recharged. Once tested, the cooler resumes its normal cooling cycle without adjustments to the thermostat or fan speed.
The exchanger is built to the original specification of the Tefcold DB300S-3-P backbar cooler. It fits directly into the cooler's existing mounting points and connects to the same refrigerant and electrical ports, requiring no modifications to the cabinet or control board.
This part is a direct replacement for the Tefcold DB300S-3-P backbar cooler. It is not compatible with other models unless confirmed by the manufacturer.
