The HNPDC hood is designed for removing heat and steam in professional kitchens without grease particles. Made of AISI 304 stainless steel, it ensures durability, hygiene, and easy cleaning. Ideal for dishwashing areas and combi ovens, available with LED lighting and in various sizes.
A heat and fume hood extracts warm, humid air directly from the workspace above combi ovens, steam cabinets and dishwashing stations, preventing condensation on walls and ceilings while keeping the kitchen atmosphere comfortable for staff.
The hood draws air upwards through an open throat, where a powerful extraction fan creates negative pressure. Steam and heat rise naturally, so the fan only needs to accelerate the process and direct the air into the exhaust collar. No filters are used, which means the airflow remains unobstructed and the hood requires less frequent maintenance. The system is designed so that multiple hoods can be connected to a single exhaust duct, allowing a large kitchen to be served by one central ventilation unit.
To use the hood, the operator positions it above the heat source at the recommended height. The built-in LED lighting is switched on, illuminating the work surface below. The exhaust damper is adjusted to control the volume of air removed, balancing extraction with the kitchen's overall ventilation. A removable grease tray collects any residual moisture or particles that condense inside the hood, preventing drips onto the equipment beneath.
The hood is constructed from AISI 304 stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion and ease of cleaning. The exterior can be finished with powder-coated panels in a range of colours to match the kitchen's decor. The smooth interior surfaces allow condensation to run off without pooling, reducing the risk of bacterial growth and meeting HACCP hygiene standards.
Controls include a light switch for the built-in LED lighting, which provides 500 LUX at the work surface. The exhaust damper is manually adjustable, allowing the operator to fine-tune airflow based on the heat output of the equipment below. The hood's IP65 protection class ensures the lighting and electrical components are sealed against moisture and dust, making it safe for use in high-humidity environments.
The 1300 mm width is sized to cover a standard combi oven or a double dishwashing sink, while the 700 mm depth ensures it captures rising steam before it spreads across the ceiling. The 480 mm height allows the hood to be installed close to the ceiling, maximising headroom in the kitchen. The 315 mm exhaust collar connects to standard ducting, allowing the extracted air to be vented outside or passed to a central ventilation system.
Cleaning involves removing the grease tray and wiping down the interior and exterior surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The stainless steel construction prevents staining and allows for frequent cleaning without damaging the finish. The LED lighting is sealed and requires no maintenance beyond occasional wiping to remove dust.
The HNPDC-1300 is available in widths from 800 mm to 1300 mm, with each size increase offering a proportional rise in extraction capacity. The hood can be customised with decorative cover panels and additional lighting options to suit specific kitchen layouts and design requirements.
This hood is designed to integrate with Novameta ventilation systems and can be connected to multiple hoods in a single kitchen, allowing for a coordinated extraction solution across all heat-generating equipment.
