A mobile storage and transport unit built to hold fourteen standard gastronorm trays in a vertical stack, this Novameta trolley keeps hot or cold plated food organised between kitchen and service areas. The vertical arrangement uses floor space efficiently while keeping each tray within easy reach; the 100 mm gap between shelves allows air to circulate, helping to maintain food temperature during transit.
The trolley rolls on four galvanised wheels, two of which lock to hold the unit steady when loading or unloading. A plastic barrier around the base protects walls and furniture from scuffs and knocks as the trolley moves through tight corridors or doorways.
Operation is straightforward: trays are slid onto the shelves one by one, starting from the bottom. The trolley is then pushed to the required station; the brakes are applied before any tray is removed. Once empty, the unit can be returned to the kitchen or stored in a corner until the next service.
Construction is steel with a galvanised finish for corrosion resistance. The shelves are fixed at 100 mm intervals, matching the standard gastronorm spacing. Overall dimensions of 385 mm width, 530 mm depth and 1707 mm height allow the trolley to pass through most commercial kitchen doorways and service lifts.
Cleaning is limited to wiping the shelves and frame with a damp cloth; the galvanised coating resists moisture and detergents used in professional kitchens. The plastic barrier can be removed for thorough cleaning if needed.
The trolley is designed for GN1/1 trays measuring 325 mm by 530 mm, the common size in British catering operations.
