A door gasket creates an airtight seal between the cooler cabinet and its door, preventing warm air from entering and cold air from escaping. This maintains the internal temperature, reduces energy consumption and keeps drinks at the correct serving chill. Without a tight seal, the compressor runs longer, ice forms more quickly and the unit struggles to hold temperature during service.

The gasket fits around the perimeter of the DB125H-I backbar cooler door, held in place by a retaining channel or clip system. When the door closes, the flexible material compresses against the cabinet frame, blocking gaps that would otherwise allow air exchange. Over time, the material can harden, crack or collect dirt, weakening the seal and reducing efficiency.

To replace the gasket, the old one is peeled away from the door frame, any adhesive residue is cleaned off, and the new gasket is pressed into the retaining channel. The door is then closed to check for even compression and a continuous seal. No tools are required beyond a scraper or cloth for cleaning the channel.
