An oven door gasket forms a continuous seal between the door and the oven cavity, preventing heat from escaping and cold air from entering. This maintains the set temperature inside the oven, ensuring even cooking and energy efficiency. The gasket compresses when the door closes, filling gaps and blocking draughts that would otherwise disrupt the cooking process.
To replace the gasket, the operator first opens the oven door fully and inspects the existing seal for wear or damage. The old gasket is removed by pulling it away from the retaining channel around the door frame. The new gasket is then pressed into the channel, starting at one corner and working around the perimeter until the entire length is seated securely. The door is closed and reopened to check that the seal sits flush and compresses evenly along its length.
This gasket is supplied as a one-metre length of heat-resistant material, cut to fit the door frame of specified Piron ovens. The material is designed to withstand repeated heating and cooling cycles without hardening or cracking, maintaining its flexibility and sealing properties over time.
The gasket fits Piron oven models requiring the GUA30015 specification, ensuring compatibility with the door mechanism and retaining channel dimensions. Regular inspection and replacement of the gasket help sustain oven performance and prevent heat loss during service.
