A burr grinder crushes coffee beans between two serrated discs, called burrs, to produce evenly sized grounds. The upper burr sits in a fixed position or adjusts to set the grind size, while the lower burr spins to cut the beans. A cover shields the upper burr from moisture, dust and accidental knocks, preserving the sharpness of the cutting edges and keeping the grind consistent.
To fit the cover, the operator first switches off and unplugs the machine. The bean hopper is removed, exposing the upper burr. The old cover, if present, is lifted away. The new cover is pressed gently into place until it seats securely over the burr. The hopper is replaced, and the machine is ready to resume grinding.
The cover is a single moulded component designed to clip onto the burr assembly without tools. It remains in position during normal operation and cleaning, protecting the burr while allowing the adjustment mechanism to function.
This spare part fits a wide range of GAGGIA and SAECO espresso machines, including the Syncrony, Titanium, Incanto, Royal, Magic, Vienna and Aulika series. Each model uses the same burr assembly, so the cover is interchangeable across the listed appliances.
In the catalogue, the part is grouped with grinder components for super-automatic espresso machines.
