A drip tray collects the water that forms when warm air meets cold refrigeration coils. As the air cools, moisture condenses on the coil surfaces and drips into the tray beneath. Without this tray, condensate would pool inside the cabinet, raising humidity, risking ice build-up and potentially damaging stored food.

The operator slides the tray into its slot under the evaporator coil. Once in place, it remains stationary, silently catching every drop that falls from the coil during the refrigeration cycle. When the tray is full, the operator removes it, empties the water, and returns it to its position.

This tray is manufactured as a direct replacement for Tefcold refrigeration units that use the TC5900009001 reference. It fits specified under-counter and counter-top models within the Tefcold range, ensuring a precise match to the original equipment dimensions and fixing points.

Cleaning is straightforward: after emptying, the tray can be washed with warm water and a mild detergent, then dried before reinsertion. Regular cleaning prevents scale and odour build-up, maintaining hygiene in the refrigeration system.
