Static cooling circulates cold air naturally from a concealed evaporator, eliminating moving parts that could disturb delicate items like pastries or salads. The method relies on still air to maintain an even chill across every shelf, preventing hot spots that could shorten shelf life. Because there is no fan, the unit runs quietly, making it suitable for front-of-house use where noise would be intrusive.

The CLASSIC 2P V24NP from SAYL is a counter-top model designed to sit on a worktop or buffet. The operator loads food onto the glass shelf, closes the tempered-glass cover, and sets the electronic thermostat to the desired temperature between +2 °C and +6 °C. A safety timer prevents the unit from running unattended for extended periods, protecting both food and energy use. Hidden sensors monitor the interior, shutting off the compressor if the cover is left open or if the temperature drifts outside the set range. LED lighting switches on automatically, illuminating the contents without adding heat, so the display remains bright while the cooling system works undisturbed.

The case is built from stainless steel and tempered glass. The glass resists impacts, scratches and cleaning agents, while the steel interior is shaped to guide condensation to a built-in drainage channel. A removable plug allows the operator to empty the channel without moving the unit, speeding up daily cleaning. The exterior is finished in one of five colours: black, red, silver, oak or white, letting the unit match the décor of a café, deli or buffet.

An adjustable electronic thermostat gives control over the temperature, allowing the operator to hold food at the upper end of the range for items that tolerate slightly warmer conditions or at the lower end for more perishable goods. The 230 V supply connects to a standard single-phase circuit, the same as most small kitchen appliances. The 180 W cooling power and 85 W equipment power combine to a modest load, keeping running costs low while maintaining the set temperature in climate class 3 environments, which cover most indoor kitchens in the UK.

Cleaning involves wiping the glass cover and interior surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent, then emptying the drainage channel. The glass shelf lifts out for separate cleaning, and the smooth surfaces prevent dirt from collecting in corners. The refrigerant, R600a, is a hydrocarbon with a low environmental impact, chosen for its efficiency and safety in static-cooled units.
