A defrost water coil removes melted frost from the evaporator during the automatic defrost cycle of a bottle cooler. As the cooler's refrigeration system warms briefly to melt accumulated ice, the coil collects the resulting water and channels it away from the cooling components. Without this part, water would pool inside the unit, risking damage to electrical parts and encouraging bacterial growth in standing moisture.

In use, the coil sits beneath the evaporator plate. When the defrost heater activates, frost melts and drips onto the coil's surface. The coil's shape and slope guide the water towards a drain outlet, typically leading to an external tray or waste pipe. The operator does not interact directly with the coil; its function is automatic once installed.

This replacement coil is manufactured to match the original Tefcold specification for the CEV425-I LED bottle cooler. It fits no other model or brand of refrigeration equipment.
