230 l
A freezing counter that doubles as a work surface, keeping ingredients at a steady -20 °C while providing a solid granite top for food preparation. The refrigeration system removes heat from the insulated cabinet, circulating cold air to maintain a consistent low temperature. This method preserves food safely and extends shelf life without freezing damage, making it suitable for storing pre-prepared dishes, pastry or delicate proteins that must stay below freezing until service.
The operator loads food into the two doors and single drawer, setting the thermostat to hold the temperature between -20 °C and -18 °C. The granite worktop above remains at room temperature, allowing immediate use for chopping, plating or assembling dishes without condensation or temperature shock. The unit starts automatically once plugged into a 230 V supply, and the compressor cycles to maintain the set range without manual intervention.
Built from stainless steel AISI 304, the cabinet resists corrosion and stands up to daily cleaning. The granite table top provides a durable, non-porous surface that does not absorb liquids or odours. High-quality insulation reduces energy use and prevents frost build-up inside the storage compartments.
Controls are minimal: a thermostat sets the target temperature within the stated range. The 230 V, 4.1 A electrical requirement matches a standard single-phase kitchen circuit, avoiding the need for special wiring. The 1300 mm width fits into a standard worktop run, while the 190 kg weight requires a solid floor or reinforced plinth.
The 230 L volume allows bulk storage of frozen goods without overcrowding, and the two doors plus drawer configuration keeps different items separate. Cleaning involves wiping the stainless steel interior and granite top with a damp cloth and mild detergent, while the condenser coil should be vacuumed periodically to maintain efficiency.
This model is part of Novameta's M202 range, designed for professional catering environments where space and temperature control are critical.
