A freezing counter that doubles as a work surface, keeping ingredients chilled while providing a solid granite top for food preparation. The refrigeration unit pulls heat from the insulated cavity, lowering the temperature below the freezing point of water and holding it steadily between -20 °C and -18 °C. This constant low temperature locks in moisture and texture, preventing spoilage and freezer burn during service.
The operator loads ingredients into the three full-width drawers, each sliding on runners for easy access. Once the drawers are closed, the refrigeration cycle starts automatically, circulating cold air evenly across every shelf. The granite table top remains at ambient temperature, giving a stable, hygienic surface for chopping, portioning or plating without transferring heat to the stored items below.
Construction is stainless steel AISI 304 throughout the cabinet and drawers, chosen for corrosion resistance and ease of cleaning. The granite worktop is sealed to the stainless steel frame, creating a seamless joint that prevents spills from seeping underneath. High-density insulation lines the walls, floor and ceiling of the freezing cavity, reducing energy consumption and maintaining the set temperature even when the kitchen is warm.
Controls are minimal: a thermostat sets the target temperature within the stated range, and an indicator light confirms the unit is running. The 230 V single-phase supply matches standard UK commercial circuits, while the 4.1 A current draw keeps the load within the capacity of a typical kitchen spur.
The 130 L volume provides storage for pre-portioned ingredients, bulk frozen goods or finished dishes awaiting service. The 940 mm width fits neatly into a standard worktop run, leaving 700 mm depth for drawer extension without overhang. At 140 kg, the unit is heavy enough to remain stable during use but can still be moved with a pallet truck or trolley for installation or deep cleaning.
Cleaning follows from the materials: the stainless steel surfaces and granite top are wiped with a damp cloth and mild detergent, while the drawers lift out for thorough washing. The insulation and refrigeration components are sealed, requiring no internal maintenance beyond occasional defrosting to clear ice build-up.
The granite table top is a single variant; the same model is also available with a stainless steel worktop under a different article number.
