Compressor Tefcold SpareParts 11705

A compressor is the heart of any refrigeration cycle, circulating refrigerant under pressure to remove heat from the cabinet and release it outside. In this closed loop, the compressor draws low-pressure vapour from the evaporator, squeezes it into a high-pressure, high-temperature gas, and forces it into the condenser where the heat is shed. The cooled refrigerant then returns to the evaporator to repeat the cycle, maintaining the low temperature inside the unit. Without this continuous compression, the refrigerant would not change state and the cooling effect would stop.

The EMT45CDP is a sealed hermetic compressor designed for commercial refrigeration equipment. It is installed as a direct replacement when the original compressor fails or loses efficiency. The operator disconnects the power, recovers the refrigerant, unbolts the old compressor, fits the new one in the same position, reconnects the suction and discharge lines, and recharges the system with R600a refrigerant. Once the electrical supply is restored, the compressor starts automatically and resumes the cooling cycle.

Constructed as a single welded steel shell, the compressor contains the motor, pump and lubricating oil in a sealed unit that prevents refrigerant leaks. The R600a refrigerant is a hydrocarbon with low global-warming potential, chosen for its thermodynamic efficiency in small to medium refrigeration systems.

This compressor is a spare part for Tefcold refrigeration units and may also fit compatible models from other manufacturers that use the same refrigerant and mounting footprint.
