A vacuum packing machine removes air from a sealed bag to preserve food, extend shelf life and lock in flavour. The ORVED Bright53H creates the vacuum inside a stainless steel chamber, drawing air out through a powerful pump until the pressure drops to the level set on the control panel. Lower pressure slows bacterial growth and oxidation, keeping ingredients fresh for longer than refrigeration alone. The same process also compresses soft items, making them easier to store and transport without crushing or spilling. To operate the Bright53H, place the open bag inside the chamber, ensuring the edge lies flat across the sealing rod. Close the lid; the machine automatically starts the vacuum cycle once the sensor confirms the chamber is sealed. The pump runs until the preset pressure is reached, then the sealing rod heats up to weld the bag shut. A second weld can be added for extra security. For delicate or spiced foods, the soft air function reintroduces a controlled amount of air at the end of the cycle to cushion the contents. The H2Out humidification pump removes excess moisture before sealing, preventing condensation inside the bag. The machine is built entirely of stainless steel, including the chamber and exterior panels, for durability and easy cleaning. A waterproof digital control panel offers 36 pre-set programmes, including deaeration and FTY (food-type specific) settings, allowing operators to select the correct cycle without manual adjustments. The detachable 530 mm sealing rod can be removed for cleaning or replaced with multiple rods to seal several bags simultaneously. An external vacuum accessory, sold separately, enables vacuum creation outside the chamber for larger or irregularly shaped items. The 1.6 kW power rating indicates the load the machine places on the electrical supply, requiring a dedicated 220-240 V circuit. The 135.5–145 kg weight means the unit is floor-standing and not easily moved; castors or a trolley may be needed for repositioning. The 727 x 745 x 1013 mm footprint determines the worktop or floor space required, while the 500 x 600 mm maximum bag size sets the largest item that can be packed in a single cycle. The seamless stainless-steel chamber and control panel are designed to shrug off kitchen splashes and grease, so a quick wipe restores the machine's hygienic finish between busy service periods. The sealing rod and chamber should be inspected after each use for food debris, which can interfere with the vacuum or weld. The detachable sealing rod simplifies cleaning, and the waterproof control panel allows safe wiping without risk of electrical damage. The vacuum pump requires periodic maintenance, including oil changes, to maintain performance. The Bright53H is part of ORVED's professional catering range, designed for high-volume kitchens, butchers and food producers requiring consistent, automated vacuum packing.
