A replacement cartridge designed to restore precise water flow and temperature control in two-hole mixer taps equipped with a clinical lever. This internal component regulates the blend of hot and cold water as the lever is moved, allowing smooth adjustment from a single point without cross-contamination between supplies.

Inside the cartridge, ceramic discs slide over one another to open or close the water passages. The discs are polished to a fine tolerance, creating a watertight seal that prevents leaks while permitting gradual changes in flow and temperature. The clinical lever connects directly to the upper disc, translating small movements into immediate response at the tap outlet.

To replace the cartridge, the tap is first isolated from the water supply. The clinical lever is removed, exposing the cartridge housing. The old cartridge is extracted, and the new one is inserted in its place, ensuring the locating lugs align with the corresponding slots in the tap body. The lever is refitted, and the water supply is restored. The tap is then tested for smooth operation and absence of drips.
