Condenser
- : Tefcold SpareParts
- Article number: 14087
A condenser is the component in a refrigeration cycle that removes heat from the hot refrigerant gas and turns it back into a liquid. Inside the condenser, the refrigerant flows through a coil or finned tube while a fan draws ambient air across the surface. As the air absorbs the heat, the refrigerant cools, condenses and collects in the receiver ready for the next cooling cycle. Without this step, the refrigerant would stay gaseous and the refrigeration unit could not chill the cabinet.
The condenser is mounted outside the refrigerated space, usually at the back or underneath the unit. It connects to the compressor outlet and the expansion valve inlet, completing the closed loop of the system. In a professional kitchen, the condenser must work continuously, so its efficiency determines how quickly the unit can pull heat out of stored food and how much electricity it consumes.
To install the Tefcold SpareParts condenser 14087, the refrigeration unit is first powered off and isolated. The old condenser is removed by disconnecting the refrigerant lines and any mounting bolts. The new condenser is positioned in the same location, the refrigerant lines are reconnected, and the system is evacuated and recharged by a qualified technician. Once the unit is restarted, the condenser fan should begin running and the refrigerant pressure should stabilise within a few minutes.
This condenser is a direct replacement part for compatible Tefcold refrigeration units. It is designed to fit the original mounting points and refrigerant connections without modification. Always verify the model number of your refrigeration unit before ordering to ensure compatibility.
