This drop-in plate dispenser from Novameta warms plates evenly by circulating heat through a vertical stack. Designed to sit flush within a worktop, it allows plates to be accessed at serving height, eliminating the need for lifting or bending. Warm air moves upwards, distributing heat consistently and avoiding cold spots that could affect plating or food temperature.
Plates are stacked from the top in one column. The unit maintains a steady temperature, ensuring plates remain warm and dry, which helps prevent condensation that might cause cutlery to slip or sauces to slide. A control dial lets the operator set the desired warmth, after which the dispenser operates independently until the stack is empty. There is no need for preheating or manual timing; the unit reaches the set temperature swiftly and maintains it without interruption.
Constructed as a drop-in module, the UWL1-40/40/71 features a stainless steel exterior and interior. Its 400 mm square dimensions fit a standard 380x380 mm cut-out, enabling straightforward installation in existing worktops. A single control knob adjusts the temperature between 35 °C and 85 °C, suitable for gentle warming or holding plates at serving temperature.
With a 2 kW power rating, the dispenser operates on a modest electrical load. The 705 mm height provides space for 50 to 70 trays, offering sufficient capacity for busy service periods. The unit's weight allows it to be positioned by two people and secured with brackets beneath the worktop.
Maintenance involves wiping the interior and exterior with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The smooth stainless steel surfaces are resistant to stains and dry quickly. Routine cleaning requires no disassembly, and the lack of moving parts minimises upkeep, though occasional checks of the heating element and control are recommended.
