A heated drop-in soup well keeps bulk soups, stews or sauces at serving temperature directly inside a catering counter. An electric element beneath the vat warms the contents evenly, preventing the food from cooling and separating while it waits to be ladled. The drop-in design lets the well sit flush with the worktop, so staff can serve straight from the counter without lifting heavy pots or moving between stations.
The well is loaded from the top, filled to the marked level, and switched on. Once the element reaches temperature, the contents stay warm without stirring. A thermostat maintains the heat, so the soup remains ready for service throughout the shift. When the service ends, the well is emptied, wiped down and left to cool before deeper cleaning.
Constructed from stainless steel, the unit resists corrosion and stands up to daily scrubbing. The 280 mm cut-out fits standard counter cut-outs, allowing the well to be installed into existing work surfaces without additional fabrication. The 0.35 kW element draws a modest load, suitable for most kitchen circuits without requiring a dedicated supply.
The 10-litre capacity holds enough soup for a busy service without taking excessive counter space. The depth of 312 mm and height of 410 mm ensure the well sits low enough for easy access while providing enough volume for bulk portions. Cleaning involves removing any food residue, wiping the interior with a sanitising solution, and drying the surface to prevent water spots.
The QK-ETS is designed for drop-in installation into catering counters and worktops, integrating seamlessly with buffet lines, serving stations and self-service areas.
