Black plastic clinical lever.
A clinical lever is a mechanical control that converts a light finger pressure into a secure latch or release action on professional catering equipment. The lever pivots on a fulcrum, multiplying the force applied so that the operator can open or close a door, drawer or panel without strain. This design is common on blast chillers, refrigerated prep counters and under-counter fridges where hygiene and speed matter: the lever can be operated with the back of the hand or even the elbow, keeping fingers away from food contact surfaces.
To use the lever, the operator presses the free end downwards or upwards, depending on the mounting orientation. The pivot transfers the motion to the latch mechanism inside the appliance, disengaging the catch. When the lever is released, an internal spring returns it to the rest position, re-engaging the latch. The action is silent and requires no tools or additional steps.
This black plastic clinical lever is moulded from a material chosen for its mechanical strength and resistance to wear, even at the low temperatures found inside refrigerated units. The plastic does not corrode, does not conduct heat and can be cleaned with standard kitchen sanitisers without degrading.
The lever fits Monolith models R0201020255, R0102020206 and R0102020211, replacing a damaged or worn original part without modification to the appliance.
