Banquet chairs that stack eighteen high turn a crowded storeroom into a compact column of seating. The ES 160 model from BHS uses a steel frame with a narrow 19 mm profile so each chair takes the least space when stacked, yet the frame remains rigid under load. A support beam inside the frame spreads the weight of the sitter across the legs, preventing the chair from twisting or bending even when fully occupied. The chairs are moved in stacks, so their light 5.4 kg weight lets one person shift dozens at a time without strain.
The chair is set up by lifting it from the stack and placing it on the floor. Plastic protectors on the legs keep the steel from scratching hard floors or marking carpet. The sitter lowers onto a 5.5 cm foam cushion that compresses under load, distributing pressure evenly across the seat. When the event ends, the chairs are lifted one by one and stacked on top of each other until the column reaches eighteen chairs high. The narrow profile and light weight make the stack stable and easy to wheel away on a trolley.
The frame is made of 19 × 19 mm steel tubing with a 1 mm wall thickness, powder-coated in a metallic gold finish. The seat and backrest are upholstered in navy blue fabric, which can be specified as fire-retardant for venues that require it. The chair measures 440 mm from front to back, 540 mm across the seat, and 890 mm to the top of the backrest, fitting through standard doorways and under most tables. Its 5.4 kg weight allows it to be carried by hand or moved in quantity on a flat trolley.
The powder coating resists chipping and scratching, so the gold finish stays bright through repeated stacking and unstacking. The plastic leg protectors are replaceable if they wear, and the fabric can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. The chair holds up to 150 kg, accommodating most users without strain on the frame.
The ES 160 is available in the standard navy blue and gold finish, with a fire-retardant fabric option on request. The same chair is also produced in other colours to match different interiors.
