A banquet chair supports seated guests through a rigid frame and a padded seat. The steel frame carries the load to the floor, while the foam cushion distributes weight evenly, reducing pressure points. The chair's stability comes from its wide footprint and low centre of gravity, preventing tipping when guests shift position. Stacking is made possible by a uniform profile and a slight taper at the top, so each chair nests neatly into the one below without jamming.

To prepare seating, the operator lifts each chair by its backrest, aligns the legs, and lowers it onto the stack. The plastic leg protectors prevent scratches on the floor and keep the stack steady. When the event begins, chairs are unstacked one by one and placed in rows. After use, the same stacking sequence clears the space quickly, leaving only a compact column of chairs that can be wheeled away on a trolley.

The ES 140 is built on a 19 × 19 mm steel frame with a 1 mm wall thickness, reinforced by an additional support beam. The frame is finished in a metallic-effect powder coating that resists chipping and corrosion. The seat is upholstered in brown fabric over a 5.5 cm layer of foam, providing firm but comfortable support. Plastic leg protectors are fitted to each foot.

The chair's 5.4 kg weight allows a single person to carry and stack multiple chairs without strain. The 150 kg load capacity ensures it supports guests of all sizes, while the 440 mm seat width and 540 mm depth give enough space for comfortable seating. The 890 mm height positions the backrest at a standard dining level, matching most banquet tables.

Cleaning involves wiping the frame with a damp cloth and brushing the fabric to remove dust. The powder-coated finish prevents moisture from penetrating, so the chair can be used in humid environments without rusting. The foam and fabric are chosen for durability, reducing the need for frequent reupholstery.

The ES 140 is available in brown with a matching brown frame. A fire-retardant fabric option can be supplied on request.
