A backbar cooling counter keeps bottled drinks at cellar temperature behind the bar, ready for service without ice or delay. The refrigeration unit pulls heat from the insulated cabinet and expels it at the rear, maintaining a steady low temperature that preserves flavour and carbonation. Because the unit stands against the back wall of the bar, its depth is kept shallow so staff can reach every bottle without stepping away from the counter.

The operator loads bottles onto the two self-levelling shelves designed for Bordeaux wine, where they stay visible and accessible. Below, four full-extension drawers slide out on stainless steel telescopic rails, allowing every item to be reached without shifting others. The two hinged doors open to reveal additional storage for larger bottles or backup stock. Temperature is set once and held automatically between +4 °C and +10 °C, so drinks remain chilled but never frozen.

Drawers and doors close quietly, and the cooling monoblock is mounted externally for quick replacement—removing one unit and fitting another takes less than a minute, minimising downtime during service. The cabinet itself is built from stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to moisture and cleaning chemicals, while the telescopic rails support the weight of fully loaded drawers without sagging.

The 230 V supply matches the standard circuit in British commercial kitchens, and the 0.293 kW power rating keeps the load within the capacity of a single socket. The 520 L volume provides enough space for a busy evening's stock, while the 2230 mm width fits along most bar backs without overhang. Height of 860 mm allows bottles to be stacked two high on the shelves, and the 650 mm depth ensures bottles do not protrude into the worktop area.

Cleaning involves wiping the interior with a damp cloth and mild detergent, then drying to prevent moisture build-up. The telescopic rails should be checked periodically for smooth operation and wiped to remove dust or spills. The external cooling unit requires occasional vacuuming to clear dust from the condenser coils, ensuring efficient heat exchange.
