This stainless-steel worktable adjusts in height to suit different tasks and users. The mechanism keeps the work surface level during movement, allowing it to function as a prep station, plating bench, or storage shelf without causing strain during extended use.
A central column contains either a gas-strut or screw-jack system. Gas struts use compressed nitrogen to balance the weight of the top, enabling smooth adjustment with minimal effort. Screw jacks convert rotary motion from a crank into vertical movement, providing precise, lockable positions at any height within the range. Both systems maintain stability once set, preventing drift under load.
To adjust the height, the operator releases the mechanism with a lever or turns the crank until the surface reaches the desired level, then locks it in place. The seamless top offers a hygienic area for food preparation. Height can be changed quickly without tools when tasks vary.
The frame and worktop are made of stainless steel suitable for food-contact surfaces. Cross-braces under the top prevent sagging. Adjustable feet on the base legs ensure the table remains level on uneven floors.
Controls include a locking lever for gas-strut models and a crank handle for screw-jack versions. The lever allows smooth movement; releasing it locks the position. The crank handle turns clockwise to lower and anti-clockwise to raise the table, with stops at each end.
The 400 mm depth fits a standard gastronorm tray or prep bowls without overhang. The 600 mm width allows two people to work side by side or one chef to arrange ingredients. The 900 mm maximum height suits standing tasks, while the adjustable range accommodates seated work or low shelving.
Cleaning involves wiping surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The underside and column should be checked for debris. Adjustable feet need periodic inspection to maintain stability. The height mechanism requires no lubrication but should be kept clean.
Variants include gas-strut and screw-jack adjustment systems. Wider options are available, offering more workspace.
