The compressor circulates refrigerant through an evaporator coil, pulling heat from the cabinet and expelling it at the rear. An anti-vibration mount isolates the compressor from the cabinet, preventing micro-shocks that can disturb sediment in older vintages.

The operator loads up to 46 standard 750 ml bottles across six wooden shelves. Each shelf slides out on runners, allowing access to every bottle without disturbing the others. The upper zone is set between +5 °C and +10 °C for whites and sparkling wines; the lower zone runs from +10 °C to +18 °C for reds. A single control panel toggles between the two zones and adjusts the temperature in one-degree increments. Cleaning involves wiping the interior with a damp cloth and mild detergent, avoiding abrasives that could scratch the wooden shelves or the tinted glass. The exterior is wiped down with the same solution, paying attention to the door seal to maintain an airtight closure. The adjustable feet should be checked periodically to ensure the unit remains level, preventing undue stress on the compressor.
