-18°C / -22°C Freezer, Refrigerated cabinet, Professional Line
A static freezer draws heat from stored food by circulating chilled air naturally, without forced fans at every shelf. The cooling coil sits in the upper compartment, lowering the air temperature until it sinks through the cabinet. This gentle movement keeps humidity higher than in fan-assisted models, protecting unwrapped items from drying out while still reaching the deep freeze temperatures needed for long-term storage.
To use the G-GN1200BT-FC, load the six supplied GN2/1 grids with food and slide them onto the runners. Set the electronic thermostat to the desired temperature between -18 °C and -22 °C. The unit maintains that level automatically; the digital display shows the current reading. When frost builds up, switch off the freezer, remove the grids, and allow the ice to melt. Condensation water drains into a collecting basin beneath the evaporator, ready to be emptied. The door closes on a self-closing spring and locks with a key to keep stock secure.
The cabinet is built from stainless steel inside and out, with 60 mm insulation between the walls. External panels at the back and bottom are galvanised steel for durability. The door frame has an electrical heating element to prevent condensation forming around the seal. A tool-free gasket can be removed for cleaning without tools. Height-adjustable feet allow the unit to stand level on uneven floors, and the bottom corners are rounded to make moving the freezer easier.
The 1104 L volume provides space for bulk storage in gastronorm GN2/1 trays. External dimensions of 1340 x 810 x 2010 mm fit through standard kitchen doorways, while the internal height of 1390 mm allows stacking of deep trays. The 183 kg weight requires two people to move the unit safely. A power rating of 602 W draws current from a single-phase 220-240 V supply, the standard circuit in professional kitchens.
Manual defrosting is required when frost accumulates, typically every few weeks depending on usage. The collecting basin must be emptied regularly to prevent overflow. The door gasket should be checked periodically for wear and replaced if damaged to maintain an airtight seal. The stainless steel interior can be wiped down with a mild detergent solution, avoiding abrasive cleaners that could scratch the surface.
The freezer uses R290 cooling gas, a hydrocarbon refrigerant with low environmental impact. The static cooling system and manual defrost design reduce energy consumption compared to fan-assisted or automatic defrost models, making it suitable for kitchens where energy efficiency is a priority.
Six GN2/1 grids are supplied as standard, fitting the internal dimensions of 1220 x 680 mm. The reversible door is pre-set to open from the right but can be adjusted to open from the left if required, though this requires professional installation.
