A solenoid valve opens and closes the flow of water, steam or syrup in professional coffee machines and beverage dispensers without moving parts that wear. When a 24 V DC signal arrives, an electromagnetic coil pulls a plunger against a spring; the plunger lifts from its seat and the liquid passes. The moment the signal stops, the spring returns the plunger and the valve shuts, stopping the flow instantly. This on-off control is used wherever a machine must start or stop liquid at a precise moment—brewing a shot, filling a boiler, or adding syrup to a drink.
The operator does not touch the valve directly. A control circuit in the machine sends the 24 V DC signal when the programme calls for water or steam. The valve responds in milliseconds, so the sequence—grind, tamp, extract—stays consistent. Because the coil runs on low-voltage direct current, it can be triggered by a simple switch or a microcontroller, making it compatible with most automated beverage systems.
The valve is built as a single compact unit with a brass body and a stainless-steel spring. The ports are threaded to match standard beverage-tubing connections, so it fits directly into the plumbing of the machine without adapters. A 24 V DC supply is the only requirement; no separate transformer or relay is needed.
This solenoid valve is a spare part for SCHAERER coffee machines and is specified for equipment that uses the PPA 3/2 valve configuration.
