A screw-in elbow fitting creates a right-angle connection between two fluid lines without bending the tubing. It threads directly into a port, sealing the joint so water, steam or concentrate can change direction inside the machine. The angled path keeps internal pipework organised and compact, letting manufacturers route lines around motors, boilers and pumps without sharp bends that restrict flow or trap residue.
To install, the operator wraps the male threads with PTFE tape, screws the fitting into the port until hand-tight, then uses a spanner to secure it without over-torqueing. The opposite end accepts a push-fit or compression connector for the second line. Once tightened, the joint remains fixed; it is not designed to swivel after installation.
This fitting is made from PPSU (polyphenylsulfone), a high-performance plastic chosen for its resistance to heat, pressure and cleaning chemicals. The threads are stainless steel Inox-4, ensuring durability and corrosion resistance in wet, hot environments typical of professional coffee machines.
The G1/8 thread size matches the standard port found on SCHAERER coffee equipment, allowing direct replacement of worn or damaged original parts. It fits no other thread type without an adaptor.
Cleaning is limited to wiping the exterior with a damp cloth; the interior is flushed whenever the connected lines are descaled or rinsed. No disassembly is required unless the fitting itself is being replaced.
