A screw-in elbow connection forms a right-angle joint between two fluid lines without requiring tools for every disassembly. The male thread on one end screws into a matching port on the machine, while the opposite end accepts a push-fit or barb fitting from a flexible hose. This right-angle geometry allows pipes to turn corners inside compact equipment housings, keeping the overall footprint small and the routing tidy.
The operator aligns the male thread with the machine port, applies a light coating of food-safe thread sealant if recommended, and tightens the fitting by hand until it seats firmly. The hose end is then pushed onto the barb or into the push-fit socket until it clicks or grips securely. Once both ends are connected, fluid can flow through the elbow without leaking at the joint.
Constructed from PPSU (polyphenylsulfone), the fitting resists high temperatures and repeated sterilisation cycles common in beverage equipment. The material does not absorb flavours or odours, ensuring that each drink tastes as intended. The 4 mm nominal bore and M5 thread size match the standard ports used in SCHAERER beverage machines, providing a direct replacement for worn or damaged original parts.
Cleaning is limited to the external surfaces and the hose ends; the screw-in thread should not be immersed in cleaning solutions. After each service interval, inspect the thread for wear and the PPSU body for cracks or discolouration. Replace the fitting if any damage is visible to maintain leak-free operation.
This spare part is designed to fit SCHAERER professional beverage equipment where the original elbow connection has the same 4-M5 specification.
