Salamander grill VEMA FO2069

This grill oven employs quartz infrared technology to generate focused radiant heat, cooking food directly without preheating the surrounding air. The process ensures quick, uniform cooking while retaining moisture, eliminating the need for a pre-heat cycle and allowing immediate use after switching on.

Food is placed on the wire rack or grill bars, the door closed, and the power level selected. The quartz elements emit a red glow, directing heat downward to brown and caramelise the food without flipping. Once the timer sounds, the door is opened, and the food is removed.

Constructed as a counter-top unit in stainless steel, the FO2069 features quartz infrared elements protected by a glass panel. The front door hinges at the bottom, opening downward to serve as a work surface. Inside, a single adjustable wire rack slides on side runners.

A rotary knob on the right panel adjusts the power level, while a separate timer dial controls cooking duration, automatically switching off the elements when the set time expires.

With a 2 kW power rating, the oven requires a 230 V single-phase circuit. Its dimensions of 520 mm wide, 270 mm deep, and 260 mm high allow placement on a standard worktop or shelf. The 9 kg weight enables easy handling by one person.

Cleaning involves wiping the stainless-steel exterior with a damp cloth, washing the removable wire rack and grill bars in hot soapy water, and brushing loose debris from the quartz elements and glass panel before wiping with a dry microfibre cloth.
