This percolator creates rich, aromatic coffee by continuously circulating hot water through coffee grounds. The process begins in the lower chamber, where water heats and rises through a central tube before showering over the grounds in the upper basket. Gravity returns the liquid to the base, allowing repeated cycles until the coffee reaches the desired strength.
To use, add cold water to the base up to the gauge glass level, place coffee grounds in the filter basket, and secure the lid. The clear on/off switch activates the heating element, initiating the brewing cycle. Once complete, the machine switches to an automatic keep-warm mode, preserving temperature without over-extraction. Coffee is dispensed through the stainless steel tap, while the shatterproof gauge glass provides a clear view of the remaining volume.
The unit features a stainless steel construction, including a durable tap and filter. A safety mechanism prevents the machine from operating without sufficient water, avoiding dry boiling. The 2.6 kW power rating enables rapid heating, and the 230 V voltage aligns with standard UK commercial power supplies. With a 16 litre capacity, the percolator is designed for large-scale coffee preparation.
The dimensions of 390 mm wide and 575 mm deep allow it to fit on most work surfaces, with space for cups or jugs nearby. As it requires no plumbing, the machine can be moved easily between locations or events.
Maintenance involves removing the filter basket and lid for rinsing, wiping the interior with a damp cloth, and cleaning the tap and gauge glass with a non-abrasive solution. Periodic descaling helps prevent mineral build-up, ensuring consistent performance.
Suitable for professional catering and hospitality environments.
