Induction hobs in vetroceramic.
The ILVE HVI395N is a Nostalgie induction hob.
Induction hobs operate by using an electromagnetic field generated beneath the hob's surface. When a pot or pan made of ferromagnetic material is placed on a zone, this field induces an electric current directly within the cookware, causing it to heat up rapidly. This method transfers heat efficiently to the pan itself, rather than heating the hob surface first.
The HVI395N features five cooking zones. Each zone is equipped with a pan sensor, which detects the presence of suitable cookware before activating. A booster function is available for each zone, allowing for a temporary increase in power output for faster heating. For safety, the hob includes child safety locks and a residual heat indicator for each zone, which illuminates when the surface is still warm after use. The controls are managed via knobs, offering straightforward operation. Additionally, the hob incorporates liquid overheating and overflow protection, automatically shutting off if excessive liquid is detected or if a zone becomes too hot.
The hob has a maximum power output of 10.4 kW. It is divided into five zones with varying diameters and power ratings. Zones 01 and 02 both have a diameter of 200 mm, offering 2.3 kW of standard power and up to 3.0 kW with the booster function. Zones 03 and 04 are smaller, with a diameter of 145 mm, providing 1.4 kW standard power and 1.85 kW with the booster. The largest zone, Zone 05, has a diameter of 250 mm and delivers 2.3 kW standard power, increasing to 3.0 kW when the booster is engaged.
Construction includes knob controls and protection against liquid overheating and overflow. The hob measures 898 mm in length and 518.5 mm in width.
