Induction hobs in vetroceramic.
The ILVE Nostalgie HVI364N is a four-zone induction hob. Induction hobs work by using an electromagnet beneath the hob surface. When a compatible pan is placed on a zone, the magnetic field induces an electric current within the pan base, generating heat directly in the cookware. This method is responsive and heat is produced only in the pan itself.
The hob features knob controls for operation. It includes a pan sensor, which detects the presence of cookware, and a booster function to temporarily increase the power output of a zone for faster heating. For safety, it incorporates child safety features and a residual heat indicator that shows when a zone is still hot. Liquid overheating and overflow protection are also built-in.
This model has four cooking zones. Zones 01 and 02 each have a diameter of 200 mm and can deliver 2.3 kW of power, or 3.0 kW when using the booster function. Zones 03 and 04 are smaller, with a diameter of 145 mm, offering 1.4 kW of standard power or 1.85 kW with the booster function engaged. The hob's total maximum power output is 7.4 kW.
The hob has a width of 598 mm and a depth of 518.5 mm. The diameter of 145 mm indicates the size of the two smaller cooking zones.
Cleaning and upkeep should focus on the hob surface and controls. The built-in safety features, such as residual heat indicators and liquid protection, aid in safe operation and maintenance.
This appliance is listed in the catalogue under induction hobs.
