The ILVE Nostalgie HCB70SDN is a gas hob.

This hob operates using gas burners that produce an open flame for cooking. Heat is directly transferred from the flame to the cookware placed on the sturdy cast iron grids. The flame intensity can be precisely controlled, allowing for a range of cooking techniques from a rapid boil to a gentle simmer. Integrated electric ignition provides a convenient way to light the burners, while a safety valve is incorporated to automatically cut off the gas supply if the flame is accidentally extinguished.

The dual burner has a diameter of 120 mm and offers two heat settings: 4.5 kW for high heat and 0.3 kW for low heat. Two large burners, each with a diameter of 90 mm, provide 3 kW of high heat and 0.6 kW of low heat. Two small burners, each 60 mm in diameter, deliver 1.8 kW of high heat and 0.4 kW of low heat. The burner caps are constructed from brass and benefit from a non-stick nanotechnological treatment, aiding in cleaning and maintenance.

Construction includes cast iron grids for supporting cookware. The hob has a width of 700 mm and a depth of 500 mm. For installation, the required built-in hole dimensions are 60 cm by 47.5 cm.

The flame is infinitely adjustable, allowing for precise temperature management.

The power ratings indicate the gas consumption and heat output of each burner. The dual burner's 4.5 kW rating signifies its maximum heat output, suitable for tasks requiring intense heat. The 0.3 kW rating indicates its minimum output, for simmering. Similar interpretations apply to the ratings of the large and small burners.
