A freezer table combines refrigerated storage with a solid work surface, keeping ingredients at sub-zero temperatures while providing extra counter space for food preparation. The unit circulates cold air through a ventilated cooling system, drawing heat away from stored items and maintaining a consistent temperature throughout the cabinet. This method prevents warm spots and ensures even freezing, which is critical for preserving food quality and safety in a busy kitchen.
To operate the TGB6D/220 A, the operator loads containers or trays onto the single shelf behind each of the two doors. The 2.8-inch touch control panel allows precise temperature setting between -15 °C and -20 °C, with the digital display showing the current reading. Once the desired temperature is selected, the automatic defrost system activates heating elements at intervals to melt any ice build-up, while a built-in evaporator removes the resulting condensate without manual intervention. The doors are opened only when necessary to minimise temperature fluctuations, and the unit continues to run until switched off or unplugged.
The cabinet is constructed entirely from 10/10 gauge stainless steel, including the exterior, interior and worktop. This material resists corrosion, withstands frequent cleaning and complies with hygiene regulations in commercial kitchens. A 50 mm layer of insulation surrounds the storage compartment, reducing energy consumption and stabilising internal temperatures even when the ambient environment reaches +40 °C. The technical compartment, housing the compressor and condenser, is positioned on the right side but can be relocated to the left to suit different kitchen layouts.
The 293 litre capacity provides space for bulk ingredients or pre-prepared dishes, while the 2220 mm width and 600 mm depth fit standard kitchen aisles and worktop runs. The 195 kg weight requires a stable floor and may need two people or a trolley for initial positioning. A single-phase 230 V supply powers the unit, matching the standard circuit found in most professional kitchens. The 0.791 kW power rating indicates the load on the electrical system during normal operation, while the 10.4 kWh daily energy consumption reflects the unit's performance under continuous use.
Cleaning involves wiping the stainless steel surfaces with a damp cloth and approved sanitiser, focusing on the door seals and touch control panel to prevent bacterial growth. The shelves can be removed for thorough cleaning, and the condensate evaporator requires no manual emptying. The unit is available with the technical compartment on either side, allowing integration into kitchens with different service layouts.
