The practical and distinctive tapas display case delights contemporary restaurant designers with its sleek lines and modern, sophisticated design. It features three levels of display space in the same area as a conventional display case. Simply spectacular.
Temperature range: +2 / +6 ºC
GN containers are included.
This refrigerated display cabinet uses static cooling to keep chilled food visible and fresh. Cold air circulates naturally, preventing dehydration of delicate items like pastries and sandwiches. A remote refrigeration unit removes heat from the cabinet and releases it elsewhere, ensuring the set temperature is maintained while allowing clear customer views through the front glass. The remote unit also keeps compressor noise away from the sales area, making the cabinet nearly silent at the point of service.
The KUBE REMOTO VCKB4GR features three shelves for presentation. Each shelf is loaded from the front, allowing GN1/3 gastronorm trays to slide directly onto the glass. The top shelf includes a clear guard, the middle shelf is made of tempered glass for enhanced transparency, and the lowest shelf serves as a drain tray with rounded corners for easy cleaning. LED lighting at each level ensures even illumination, preserving the true colours of the displayed items.
To operate, connect the 2 m refrigerant line to the remote unit, plug the 230 V supply into a standard socket, and adjust the thermostat to between +2 and +6 °C. Once the temperature stabilises, trays of prepared food can be placed on the shelves. Static cooling maintains still air, preventing items from drying out during service. At the end of the day, remove the trays, clean the glass and stainless steel surfaces with a damp cloth, and drain any condensation through the built-in outlet.
Constructed from stainless steel, the cabinet features double-glazed panels on all shelves. The frame and worktop are brushed stainless steel, resistant to fingerprints and simple to sanitise. The 850 mm width fits most counters, while the 385 mm depth allows space for service behind the unit without crowding the customer area. The remote unit provides 180 W of cooling power, with the cabinet itself consuming only 85 W at the point of use, reducing the load on the local circuit.
Controls consist of a single thermostat for setting the temperature within the +2 to +6 °C range. The LED lighting remains on while the cabinet is powered, ensuring consistent visibility. The 2 m refrigerant line offers flexibility in positioning the remote unit, whether under the counter or in a nearby cupboard.
With a capacity of 4 GN1/3 trays, the cabinet can hold four standard trays across its three shelves. The 230 V supply matches the standard UK single-phase circuit found in most professional kitchens and cafés.
Cleaning is simple: rounded corners and a drain tray prevent water pooling, and stainless steel surfaces wipe clean with a damp cloth. The remote refrigeration unit may require occasional filter checks, but the cabinet itself has no moving parts beyond the LED lighting.
The VCKB4GR is the standard model, including a 2 m refrigerant line. The cabinet is designed for front-of-house refrigerated display, distinct from under-counter fridges or blast chillers.
