A refrigerated display cabinet keeps chilled goods visible and accessible while maintaining safe holding temperatures. The remote refrigeration unit draws heat from the cabinet through refrigerant lines, circulating cooled air inside the sealed compartment. This method prevents temperature fluctuations when doors are opened, ensuring consistent cooling without exposing food to direct airflow or compressor noise at the point of sale. The operator loads products onto the stainless steel shelves, then sets the desired temperature range using the electronic thermostat. Hidden sensors monitor conditions continuously, adjusting the compressor and condenser as needed to hold the cabinet between +2 °C and +6 °C. LED lighting illuminates the interior evenly, making items visible without adding heat. Sliding PMMA doors allow customers to serve themselves without breaking the cold chain; the doors are removed for daily cleaning. The cabinet is constructed from AISI 304 stainless steel, chosen for corrosion resistance and hygiene. The inner tank has rounded corners and a drainage system for easy cleaning. The exterior is finished in the same material, with adjustable feet to level the unit on uneven floors. A 2-metre connection hose links the cabinet to the remote refrigeration unit, allowing flexible placement in the kitchen or sales area. The 230 V supply powers the compressor, condenser fan and LED lighting. The 180 W cooling power and 85 W equipment power reflect the load on the circuit, suitable for standard UK single-phase outlets. The 840 mm width, 395 mm depth and 245 mm height determine the counter space required and the volume of goods that can be displayed. Cleaning involves removing the sliding doors, wiping the interior and exterior stainless steel surfaces, and rinsing the drainage system. The LED strips cast a cool, shadow-free glow that keeps pastries and desserts looking fresh and appetising throughout the day. The remote refrigeration unit should be kept free of dust to maintain airflow and efficiency. The S4GRP is a self-service model with two static-cooling doors and a remote refrigeration unit. It is classified as Climate Class 3. The refrigerant used is R600a, a hydrocarbon with low environmental impact.
