This high-quality GN refrigerated display cabinet is designed for professional use in the foodservice sector, ensuring reliable and efficient storage of food in GN 1/1 containers. It is a plug-in type cabinet, meaning it can be simply connected to a power source and used immediately.
A refrigerated display cabinet keeps prepared food chilled while making it visible to customers. The static cooling system circulates cold air naturally, avoiding the drying effect of forced airflow. This method suits ready-to-serve dishes that need gentle, even cooling without dehydration. A glass front and internal lighting let staff present the food attractively, while the refrigeration unit maintains a steady temperature range between +2 °C and +8 °C, preserving freshness and meeting food-safety regulations for perishable items.
The operator loads up to ten GN 1/3 gastronorm trays onto the runners inside the cabinet. A glass shelf can be positioned above the trays to create an additional display level. Once the door is closed, the digital touch panel on the right side allows the user to set the desired temperature within the 2–8 °C range. The automatic defrost cycle pauses periodically to prevent ice build-up, so the unit continues running without manual intervention. The display shows the current temperature, alerting staff if the cabinet drifts outside the set range.
The entire cabinet is built from stainless steel, inside and out, for corrosion resistance and easy cleaning. The technical compartment is housed on the right side, giving engineers quick access to the cooling components without moving the unit or disrupting service. The refrigerant used is R290, a hydrocarbon with low global-warming potential, chosen for its efficiency and environmental profile.
The control panel features a 2.2-inch touchscreen with a digital readout. One button adjusts the temperature, another activates the defrost pause, and a third confirms the setting. The panel is backlit for visibility in dimly lit service areas.
A capacity of ten GN 1/3 trays allows organised storage of starters, desserts or pre-plated dishes. The 2150 mm width fits along a serving counter or against a wall, while the 370 mm depth keeps the footprint compact. The 56 kg weight means two people can reposition the cabinet if the kitchen layout changes. The 0.145 kW power rating draws a modest load on a single-phase 230 V circuit, typical of commercial refrigeration. The climate class 5 rating ensures the cabinet performs reliably in ambient temperatures up to +40 °C, matching the demands of busy professional kitchens.
Cleaning involves wiping the stainless-steel surfaces with a mild detergent and warm water. The glass shelf lifts out for separate cleaning. The static cooling system has no fan, so there are no filters to replace, reducing maintenance time. The door seal should be checked regularly to ensure it remains intact and free from debris.
The VRPG/21S is a single model; no variants are listed. GN trays are not supplied with the cabinet, allowing operators to select trays that suit their menu and presentation style.
