A freezer table built for professional kitchens keeps ingredients at deep-freeze temperatures while providing a solid surface for food preparation. The GEMM THBD/130S combines a refrigerated cabinet with a stainless-steel top, allowing chefs to store frozen goods directly beneath the work area where they are needed. Instead of a separate freezer and worktop, the unit consolidates both functions into a single footprint, saving space in busy kitchens. The appliance cools by circulating cold air through a ventilated system. A fan draws air across an evaporator coil, lowering its temperature before pushing it evenly throughout the cabinet. This forced-air method prevents hot spots and ensures every shelf reaches the set temperature quickly. The refrigerant, R290, absorbs heat from the air inside and releases it outside through a condenser coil, repeating the cycle continuously. Because the system is sealed, it maintains stable temperatures without frequent manual adjustment, even when the kitchen environment changes. To operate the THBD/130S, the user loads GN 1/1 trays onto the two included shelves, one behind each door. The digital touch control panel on the front sets the temperature between -15 °C and -20 °C, and the display confirms the current reading. Once the desired temperature is selected, the unit runs automatically, defrosting on a schedule to prevent ice build-up. Condensate is evaporated by a heating element, eliminating the need for external drainage. The doors open to reveal the ventilated interior, and the shelves slide out for easy access to stored items. The seamless stainless-steel cabinet shrugs off kitchen spills and steam, letting you wipe down the entire surface in seconds between service rushes. The exterior panels and worktop are made of 10/10 gauge stainless steel, providing a durable surface that withstands daily use. Inside, the walls are insulated with a 50 mm layer of high-density foam, reducing heat transfer and keeping energy consumption low. The technical compartment, housing the compressor and condenser, can be positioned on either the right or left side, allowing the unit to fit into various kitchen layouts without obstructing workflow. The control panel features a 2.8-inch touchscreen with a digital display. The main controls adjust the temperature, while additional settings allow the user to programme defrost cycles and monitor the unit's status. The panel is intuitive, requiring no special training to operate, and the display remains visible even in low-light conditions. A 213-litre capacity provides ample storage for GN 1/1 trays, allowing kitchens to keep a variety of frozen ingredients on hand without overcrowding. The unit's external dimensions—1290 mm wide, 690 mm deep, and 860 mm high—fit into standard kitchen layouts, and its 109 kg weight ensures stability while still allowing it to be moved with a trolley. The 230 V single-phase power supply matches the standard electrical circuits found in most professional kitchens, so no special wiring is required. Cleaning the THBD/130S involves wiping down the stainless-steel surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The interior shelves and walls are smooth, with no crevices where food debris can accumulate. The automatic defrost system reduces the need for manual ice removal, and the condensate evaporation feature means there is no water tray to empty. The exterior panels and worktop can be sanitised quickly, maintaining hygiene standards without disrupting kitchen operations. The THBD/130S is classified as Energy Efficiency Class D, reflecting its balance between performance and power consumption. It meets Climatic Class 5 standards, ensuring reliable operation in environments up to +40 °C, which is essential for kitchens with high ambient temperatures or humidity. The unit is prearranged for plinth installation, allowing it to be raised or lowered to match adjacent work surfaces, and drawer configurations can be customised upon request to suit specific storage needs.
