Gas hobs operate by supplying gas to burners, which is then ignited to produce a flame. The intensity of this flame can be controlled to regulate the heat applied to pots and pans. This model includes integrated electric ignition for ease of use and a safety valve that cuts off the gas supply if the flame is accidentally extinguished.
