Sensors for automatic operation
The SIGMA TR350SB is a feeding hopper designed for the controlled discharge of dough blocks. This type of equipment operates by receiving large quantities of product in its hopper, which then feeds into a downstream divider. The TR350SB utilises a programmer to manage the number of pieces to be discharged.
Dough blocks are unloaded into the divider bottom via a system of a triangular plate and a guillotine cutting mechanism. The machine is equipped with two depth sensors. The primary sensor monitors the dough level in the divider, signalling when more dough is required. A secondary sensor, located on the hopper itself, activates an alarm when the tank is nearing empty, preventing operational interruptions.
This feeding hopper can be integrated with conveyor systems, enabling product delivery to multiple production lines simultaneously. It also facilitates product unloading during equipment cleaning cycles.
Construction includes parts in contact with dough made from either polyurethane or stainless steel. These components are designed for straightforward removal, allowing for daily cleaning and washing.
The unit has a power consumption of 4.5 kW and operates on a 400 V electrical supply. Its dimensions are 1240 mm in length, 1240 mm in width, and 2600 mm in height. The total weight of the machine is 450 kg.
This SIGMA feeding hopper is listed for use with production and confectionery equipment.
