A professional filter coffee machine designed for high-volume brewing, the BRAVILOR BONOMAT B40-W L/R delivers consistent, fresh coffee in bulk without constant supervision. This type of machine heats water to the optimal temperature for extraction, then drips it through a bed of coffee grounds held in a filter. The hot water dissolves the soluble compounds in the coffee, creating a full-bodied brew that collects in a thermos or urn below. The process relies on precise temperature control and even water distribution to avoid over- or under-extraction, ensuring a balanced flavour even at scale.
To operate, the user fills the brewing basket with ground coffee and places a filter paper inside. The machine is programmed using the digital display, setting the desired brew volume and start time if needed. Once activated, the machine draws water from the mains connection, heats it, and begins the brewing cycle. A built-in timer allows the machine to start automatically, so coffee can be ready at a set time without manual intervention. The coffee-ready signal alerts staff when the brew is complete, and the thermos keeps the coffee at serving temperature until it is dispensed.
Constructed from stainless steel, the B40-W L/R is built for durability in busy catering environments. The machine is mounted on a wall bracket, saving worktop space, and can be positioned with the thermos to the left or right of the column. A descaling system helps maintain performance by preventing limescale build-up, while total and day counters track usage for maintenance scheduling.
The 40-litre volume allows the machine to brew large quantities in a single cycle, making it suitable for cafés, hotels, or event catering where demand is high. The 400 V power supply requires a three-phase circuit, which is standard in professional kitchens. The 775 mm width, 565 mm depth, and 1042 mm height provide a compact footprint for its capacity, fitting into most commercial coffee stations. A 3/4-inch water connection is needed for mains supply.
Cleaning involves regular descaling, emptying and rinsing the brewing basket, and wiping down the stainless steel surfaces. The digital display guides users through the descaling programme, ensuring the machine remains efficient. The machine is supplied with a VHG container, filter unit, and wall mounting bracket, though a trolley is not included as standard.
This model is part of the B series, which includes machines with capacities of 5, 10, 20, and 40 litres. Some versions are designed for marine use, offering additional durability in challenging environments. The B40-W L/R is positioned for high-volume coffee production in professional catering settings.
