A round filter coffee machine brews fresh batches by gravity: water heated in a boiler rises through a central column, then drips evenly over ground coffee held in a paper filter. The brewed coffee flows straight into removable containers, keeping each batch separate and ready for service without decanting.
The operator connects the machine to a 3/4 inch mains water supply, fills the filter basket with coffee grounds, and places a paper filter inside. After positioning the container beneath the brew column, the machine is switched on. The control panel's LCD display shows the brewing progress, while a coffee-ready signal indicates when the batch is complete. Daily and total counters track usage, and a built-in clock allows timed starts for early service. A descaling system maintains water quality without manual intervention.
Constructed with a stainless-steel brewing column and base, the machine includes two 20-litre containers of type VHG, a trip-tray to catch spills, and a filter unit for each container. The control panel houses the LCD display, counters, clock, and safety mechanisms that prevent operation without water or when the container is not in place.
The 400 V three-phase power supply matches the high-demand circuits found in professional kitchens, supporting the machine's dual 20-litre capacity. The footprint of 1173 mm long, 600 mm wide and 947 mm high fits under standard worktops while allowing space for the containers to slide in and out.
Cleaning involves rinsing the brewing column and containers after each use, replacing the paper filters, and periodically running the descaling programme via the control panel. The trip-tray removes for emptying and wiping down.
This model is available with an optional hot water tap, and an HW-series variant is offered with additional features.
The B20 is categorised under filter machines in the professional coffee equipment section.
