A round filter coffee machine brews fresh batches by gravity: hot water rises through a heating column, drips evenly over ground coffee held in a paper filter, and collects in a removable container below. This method extracts flavour without pressure, producing a smooth, consistent brew suitable for large volumes without bitterness or sediment.
The operator loads the filter with coffee grounds, places the container beneath the column, and connects the machine to a mains water supply. The control panel allows setting the brew time, which determines the strength and volume of the coffee. Once started, the machine heats the water, releases it over the coffee, and signals when the batch is ready. The container can then be removed for serving or holding.
Constructed with a stainless steel brewing column and base, the unit includes a filter unit, a 10-litre container of type VHG, and a trip-tray to catch spills. The control panel features an LCD display, a descaling system to maintain performance, and counters to track total and daily usage. A built-in clock and safety mechanisms ensure consistent operation and prevent overheating or water leaks.
The 400 V power supply requires a three-phase circuit, typical in professional kitchens for high-demand equipment. The 10-litre capacity allows brewing a full container in one cycle, reducing the need for frequent refills during service. The 3/4-inch water connection simplifies installation, eliminating the need for manual filling.
Cleaning involves regular descaling to prevent mineral build-up, rinsing the filter unit, and wiping the container and trip-tray. The paper filter is replaced after each use, and the brewing column should be cleaned to remove coffee oils.
This model is available with the brewing column positioned to the left or right of the container. An optional hot water tap can be fitted for additional functionality.
The machine is categorised under filter coffee equipment for professional catering use.
