A wall-mounted filter coffee system designed for kitchens that need a steady supply of fresh coffee without occupying worktop space. The B5-W model brews directly into two insulated 5-litre thermoses, keeping coffee hot and ready for service while the next batch is prepared. The unit is fixed to the wall, freeing the floor and counter for other equipment and workflows.
Filter coffee systems of this type work by gravity-fed extraction. Cold water is heated to brewing temperature and then dripped through a bed of ground coffee held in a brewing basket. The water absorbs the coffee oils and soluble compounds as it passes, collecting in the thermos below. Because the water moves slowly and evenly, the extraction is consistent, producing a clean, balanced cup without the bitterness that faster methods can introduce. The insulated thermoses maintain the temperature without reheating, preserving the coffee's flavour and aroma over several hours.
To operate the B5-W, the operator fills the brewing basket with ground coffee, places a paper filter inside, and secures the basket in the machine. The water supply is connected to the 3/4-inch inlet, and the unit is switched on. The digital display allows the operator to set the brewing programme, including the volume of water to be used and the start time if the built-in timer is activated. Once the programme is confirmed, the machine heats the water and begins the brewing cycle. A coffee-ready signal sounds when the thermoses are full, and the day and total counters log the number of batches produced. The descaling system can be run periodically to remove limescale from the internal components, ensuring consistent performance and extending the life of the machine.
The B5-W is constructed from stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion and ease of cleaning in a busy kitchen environment. The front panel houses the digital display, control buttons, and indicator lights, while the rear includes the water inlet and power connection. The wall mounting bracket is supplied, allowing the unit to be securely fixed at a convenient height for loading and unloading the brewing basket and thermoses.
The controls include a power switch, programme selector, start button, and timer settings. The digital display shows the current status, such as heating, brewing, or standby, and allows the operator to adjust the brewing parameters. The descaling system is activated through the control panel, and the coffee-ready signal can be set to a buzzer or visual indicator, depending on the kitchen's noise level.
The 3.13 kW and 5.33 kW power ratings correspond to the unit's operation on 230 V single-phase and 400 V three-phase supplies, respectively. This flexibility allows the B5-W to be installed in kitchens with different electrical configurations, though a dedicated circuit may be required to handle the load. The two 5-litre thermoses provide a combined 10 litres of coffee, sufficient for medium-volume service without frequent refilling. The 970 mm width, 540 mm depth, and 740 mm height ensure the unit fits in most wall spaces, while the wall mounting keeps it clear of floor traffic.
Cleaning involves removing the brewing basket and paper filter after each use, wiping down the stainless steel surfaces, and periodically running the descaling programme. The thermoses should be emptied and rinsed daily to prevent coffee residue from building up. The water inlet and internal components are maintained by following the descaling cycle as recommended by the manufacturer.
The B5-W is available in several variants, including models with a hot water tap for tea or instant beverages. The HW-series variant includes this feature, though it is not standard on the base model. The unit is also offered in configurations suitable for marine environments, where stability and corrosion resistance are critical.
This model is categorised under professional coffee equipment, specifically filter coffee systems for wall mounting.
