A round filter coffee machine draws mains water through a fresh coffee bed inside a paper or metal filter, extracting flavour and aroma without sediment. The water is heated as it passes, maintaining a steady temperature that releases the coffee's soluble compounds evenly. This continuous-flow method produces a clear, consistent brew that can be directed straight into a serving container without further handling, keeping the coffee hot and reducing the risk of spills or contamination between batches.
The operator connects the machine to a 3/4 inch water supply, places a filter and ground coffee in the brewing column, then selects the desired volume on the LCD control panel. The machine fills the container automatically, signalling when the coffee is ready. Daily and total counters track usage, while a built-in clock allows timed starts for early service. A descaling system removes limescale from the internal water path, extending the life of the heating elements and maintaining brewing efficiency.
The unit is built on a stainless-steel base with a trip-tray beneath to catch drips. A single brewing column sits above one 5-litre container, positioned either to the left or right of the column. The control panel includes buttons for volume selection, descaling, and clock setting, along with indicator lights for power, water supply, and coffee readiness.
Power ratings of 3.07 kW and 5.27 kW correspond to single-phase 230 V and three-phase 400 V electrical supplies, allowing the machine to be installed on standard commercial circuits. The footprint of 452 mm by 440 mm fits on most worktops, while the 799 mm height clears overhead cupboards. A 5-litre container provides enough coffee for approximately twenty standard servings, reducing the need for frequent refills during service.
Cleaning involves rinsing the brewing column and container after each use, replacing the filter, and running the descaling programme at intervals determined by water hardness. The trip-tray slides out for emptying and wiping, and the exterior surfaces can be wiped with a damp cloth.
Variants include a version with an additional hot-water tap for tea or instant drinks, and compatibility with the HW-series configuration at a different price point. The machine is categorised under filter coffee equipment in professional catering catalogues.
