Flat filter paper separates suspended solids from liquids by allowing the liquid to pass through its fine mesh while trapping particles on the surface. In professional catering, this process clarifies coffee, tea and other hot beverages, removing grounds, sediment and oils that would otherwise cloud the drink or alter its flavour. The paper's uniform porosity ensures consistent flow and extraction, preventing over-brewing or under-brewing that can occur when grounds bypass the filter.
To use, the operator places a single sheet inside the filter basket of the brewing equipment, ensuring it lies flat and covers the entire base. The basket is then secured in the machine, and the brewing cycle is started. As hot water passes through the paper, it extracts soluble compounds from the coffee or tea, while the paper traps insoluble particles. Once the cycle is complete, the used filter is lifted out and discarded, leaving a clear, sediment-free beverage.
The BRAVILOR BONOMAT Flat Filter Paper 400 mm is constructed from food-grade paper, standardised for strength and porosity. Its 400 mm diameter matches the filter baskets of BRAVILOR BONOMAT brewing systems, ensuring a secure fit without tearing or slipping during use.
Each box contains 250 sheets, providing a bulk supply for high-volume catering operations. The flat design allows for compact storage and easy handling, while the consistent diameter ensures compatibility with the specified equipment without adjustment or trimming.
Cleaning and upkeep are minimal: the paper itself is disposable, and the filter basket should be rinsed after each use to remove residual grounds or oils that could affect the next brew.
