A micro filter removes fine coffee grounds from the brewed liquid without disposable paper. Hot water passes through the densely woven stainless steel mesh, trapping particles while allowing the extracted coffee to flow into the serving vessel. This method avoids paper waste and the recurring cost of replacements, and it preserves the natural oils and flavours that paper filters can absorb.
The operator places the micro filter into the brewing basket or holder of the coffee machine. Ground coffee is added directly onto the mesh, the machine is started, and the brew cycle proceeds as usual. Once brewing is complete, the spent grounds are lifted out with the filter and discarded. The mesh is then rinsed under running water to clear any remaining particles, ready for the next use.
Constructed from stainless steel, the filter resists corrosion and withstands repeated exposure to hot water and coffee acids. Its 330 mm diameter matches the standard brewing baskets used in many commercial coffee machines, ensuring a secure fit without gaps that could allow grounds to bypass the filter.
Cleaning is straightforward: after each use, the filter is rinsed to remove coffee residue. Periodically, it can be soaked in a mild detergent solution to dissolve any built-up oils, then rinsed thoroughly and allowed to dry before the next brew cycle.
This micro filter is designed as a direct replacement for disposable paper filters in BRAVILOR BONOMAT coffee brewing equipment and compatible systems.
