A tea filter extracts flavour and colour from loose leaves by circulating hot water through the bed. The water enters at the base, rises through the leaves, and drains back into the urn, building strength with each pass. This continuous flow prevents the leaves from stewing and keeps the brew clear, without sediment or bitterness. The method suits large volumes and maintains temperature without reheating, so the tea stays fresh for service throughout the day.
The operator fills the filter basket with loose tea, places it inside the urn, and pours hot water over the leaves. Once the urn is switched on, the pump circulates the water through the filter, gradually deepening the colour and strength. The filter basket lifts out for easy removal of spent leaves, leaving the urn ready for the next batch.
The filter is constructed from stainless steel, chosen for durability and resistance to corrosion in a wet environment. Its 180 mm diameter fits standard commercial urns, allowing straightforward integration into existing beverage stations.
Variants of 10, 20 and 40 litre capacity are available, each increasing in size to match higher demand without altering the brewing principle or the quality of the result.
The product sits in the beverage equipment section of the catalogue, alongside urns, water boilers and coffee brewers.
