A measuring jug collects, holds and displays liquid volumes so that kitchen staff can portion ingredients accurately without scales. The transparent vessel is marked with graduated lines that show the level of liquid inside, allowing the operator to read the quantity at eye level. This method is faster than weighing and avoids contamination of utensils, making it standard for sauces, batters, stocks and cleaning solutions in professional kitchens.

To use the jug, the operator pours the liquid in until the surface reaches the desired mark. The wide mouth reduces spillage and the spout directs the flow, so the measured volume can be transferred cleanly to a pan, mixer or container. The handle is positioned to balance the weight when the jug is full, preventing strain on the wrist during repeated use.

The jug is constructed from a single piece of clear, food-safe plastic that resists staining and cracking. The markings are moulded into the surface rather than printed, so they remain legible after repeated washing. The base is flat and stable, preventing tipping when the jug is set down between measurements.

The 2.2 litre capacity allows the jug to measure larger batches of liquids in one pour, reducing the number of refills needed for recipes or cleaning solutions. The footprint is small enough to store on a worktop or shelf when not in use, and the lightweight construction makes it easy to handle during service.

Cleaning is straightforward: the smooth interior and wide opening allow quick rinsing under a tap or in a sink. The plastic is dishwasher-safe, so the jug can be sanitised alongside other kitchen equipment without manual scrubbing.
